3-Day Bwindi Gorilla Trekking Safari

Early morning departure at 06:30 hrs from Kampala or Entebbe heading to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the Masaka–Mbarara route.

En route, stop at the Equator for photographs and refreshments. Continue the journey with a brief stop outside Lake Mburo National Park where you may spot impalas, zebras, monkeys, and birds. After an early lunch in Mbarara, proceed to Bwindi arriving in the late afternoon.

Accommodation: Gorilla Friends Resort

After early breakfast at 06:30 hrs, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing at 07:00 hrs before starting the gorilla trek. The trek through the dense forest may take 2–4 hours depending on the gorillas’ location.

Once the gorillas are located, visitors are allowed one hour to observe and photograph them in their natural habitat. Tourists are advised to carry rain jackets and sturdy hiking boots.

After the tracking experience, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation and overnight stay.

After breakfast at 07:30 hrs, enjoy a scenic 2-hour boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi including a visit to the Batwa community for a cultural experience.

Later, begin the return journey to Kampala or Entebbe with a lunch stop en route before concluding the safari.
